  • 1960's Betty Draper of Mad Men Film-Worn Bonwit Teller Red Roses Silk Dress Set

A gorgeous and highly desirably 1960's cocktail dress set worn by January Jones as Betty Draper during the second season of AMC's Mad Men. There is very little memorabilia from Mad Men available and this documented ensemble is the epitome of their iconic costuming. Not only is this rare gem celebrity-worn but it's a stunning designer look in it's own right, created by Ben Barrack for Bonwit Teller. Ben Barrack (1906-1996) owned a Seventh Avenue fashion house that specialized in petite sizes. His wife, Florence, was the designer at Ben Barrack. She could create dresses which fit like a glove; cut in an extremely flattering style. I love the vibrant red-roses floral print silk used. The bodice is an elegant cross-over plunge short-sleeve tailored design with matching button front tie-neck cropped bolero. I love the ruched cummerbund which so flattering to the figure. The narrowing wiggle-skirt construction emphasizes a woman's seductive shape without adding any bulk or volume to the actual hips. An amazing piece of wearable celebrity and pop culture history.

This Betty Draper (January Jones) of Mad Men film-worn designer dress set comes with COA, documented screen shots and costumer's hangtag. No stains or fade. Perfectly working back metal-zipper. Dress has been altered to fit January's body and that's the beauty of the piece, not a drawback. Only sign of wear is one professional repair to the bolero jacket. Please message for detailed pictures. This ensemble is truly one-of-a-kind and will only increase in value.
