An absolutely breathtaking Bob Bugnand custom couture metallic silk-brocade dress and matching coat dating back to the mid 1960's. Bob Bugnand worked as the chief designer for Jacques Heim and Robert Piquet before opening his own couture workroom in Paris. In 1957, after realizing many of his clients were wealthy Americans, he opened his couture salon in New York City providing custom couture Parisian tailored fashions for the wealthiest women of the time including the Duchess of Windsor, Mrs. Elizabeth Parke Firestone, Mrs. Lyn Revlon and Jacqueline Kennedy. This phenomenal graphic patterned metallic gold and turquoise silk brocade lamé two-piece ensemble is a wonderful example of his pure genius. The dress bodice has an over-sized rhinestone, sequin and gold beaded 'necklace' as the centerpiece. All of that intricate work was done by hand and must have taking weeks to complete. I promise the sparkle will light up any room. The figure flattering A-line silhouette with lean, long sleeves makes this garment so elegant and easy to wear. The matching coat is a statement piece in it's own right. I adore the wide collar and dramatic pockets. The dress even has hidden pockets too! A timeless couture look perfect for any upcoming gala, wedding or holiday party.
