An absolutely stunning and incredibly rare documented Nina Ricci haute couture metallic pink silk brocade full-length coat dating back to her beautiful 1965 fall-winter lifetime collection. This French fashion house, known for its feminine, ladylike clothing, has long been the go-to for Parisian chic. To achieve Nina Ricci figure-flattering cuts, the seasoned dressmaker draped on a live mannequin, pinning and snipping with a couturier's care. This breathtaking metallic pink large-scale floral print silk-brocade and luxurious mink fur maxi coat is a perfect example of mid-century couture glamour. I adore the chic center bow tie waist and dramatic ivory mink fur trimming the entire front. Nina Ricci then creates an impressive sculpted cape backside that truly looks amazing with movement. There is such an opulent nature to this piece that I find irresistible. This workmanship alone must have taken weeks to complete. So regal and effortlessly elegant. At this time, Nina Ricci was in the same league as Christian Dior and Pierre Balmain and you can clearly see why in her brilliant talent. This documented French haute couture piece would make such an epic wedding look or red carpet moment! A true museum worthy work of art.
