Important Zandra Rhodes and Sylvia Ayton Couture novelty print jacket dating back to 1968. Zandra Rhodes was one of the British designers who put London at the forefront of the international fashion scene. Her designs are considered creative statements, dramatic but graceful, bold but feminine. Before she hit major success, Rhodes and a fellow student, Sylvia Ayton, opened a boutique together called Fulham Road Clothes Shop. Ayton designed the clothing and Rhodes supplied the textile designs from which they were made. The adorable jacket is fashioned in white denim with a unique red printed teddy bear novelty pattern. I love the long, pointy collar and back belted design. The "easy-to-wear" button down cropped silhouette is so fresh and strikingly modern. The pictures speak for themselves. Rhodes' originality makes her work among the most copied in the fashion world today.
