Breathtaking Boyd Clopton Couture celestial sun and moon novelty gown dating back to the late 1960's. Boyd Clopton was an acclaimed costume designer during the 1960's and 1970's, dressing some of the top musical groups and soloists of the era. He is best known for his work with Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five, The Fifth Dimension, Aretha Franklin and The Mamas and the Papas. In 2009, a Boyd Clopton costume worn by Michael Jackson sold for $35,400. This cobalt-blue and yellow silk treasure has fantastic three-dimensional beaded planets, stars and fire flames on which really dazzle the eye. I love the seductive low-cut plunge sleeveless bodice. The a-line skirting with front-slit construction emphasizes a woman's seductive shape without adding any bulk or volume to the actual hips. The pictures say it all!
