Breathtaking bias-cut floral dress by the famous Alice Pollock British label. Pollock is known for starting Quorum, a London boutique and manufacturing business, in 1964. The following year she was joined in the business by Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell. Together they designed and made the clothing that filled the shop and attracted the attention of the fashion conscious. This 1930's inspired dress is a wonderful example of her genius. The bodice has gorgeous smocking, front covered-buttons and dramatic flutter sleeves. I love the two different color floral patterns used; a vibrant blue and rich dark chocolate. This figure flattering bias-cut waterfall skirting accentuates the bust while skimmings the hip. It is impeccably seamed and on the level of modern day couture.
