Gorgeous Sheridan Barnett for Quorum wrap-dress worn by Angelica Huston in the 1974 January edition of British Vogue. Sheridan Barnett is a former fashion designer who worked with London boutique Quorum and launched the brand 'Barnett and Brown' with Sheilagh Brown. This dress was worn by Angelica Huston, styled by Grace Coddington, where she was photographed by David Bailey alongside Helmut Newton and Manolo Blahnik. An outtake of this shoot shows the full group, including David Bailey, and with Grace sitting on Newton's lap. In the 2012 Vogue documentary 'The September Issue', Grace can be seen reminiscing about this moment as she points to a print of the outtake photograph hanging on her wall. The same photograph features in her book 'Grace: Thirty Years of Fashion at Vogue'. This stunning garment is not only an important piece of fashion history but also a wonderful dress in it's own right. The fabric itself is a masterpiece; soft viscose crepe in a large scale daisy floral print. The bodice is a seductive low cut plunge with unique neck-strap design. The wrap-around style is so modern and easy-to-wear. A rare documented piece from the Sheilagh Brown archives.
