This absolutely stunning late 1990's Mike Benet Formals rainbow sequin gown is in a class of it's own! Although it looks just like the iconic 2002 fall/winter Donatella Versace famously worn by Britney Spears, this gown quite possibly predates the Versace. The owners unfortunately passed away in 1998, and the company was bought out in 2000 where there was a noticeable shift in both quality and the label design. Could this dress have been the inspiration for Donatella? The showstopper is embellished with sequins in every color of the rainbow and has that perfect nude-illusion base. Just look at that epic graphic pattern with floral detailing. The bodice is a sculpted asymmetric one-shoulder with inner boning to help keep everything in place. I love the flattering nipped waist hourglass silhouette. I totally see this look walking down the red carpet or at the most glamorous affair. The pictures say it all.
