As shown, a shorter version of this showstopper was look number 5, modeled by Caroline Ribeiro. The iconic supermodel Stephanie Seymour also wore this piece for an editorial in the September 2001 issue of Australian Vogue. Dolce & Gabbana are considered the inventors of a Mediterranean style that draws its inspiration from women of Italian realism, sensual and austere like Anna Magnani, to whom they dedicated a collection whose key element was the 1940's slip.
