An absolutely stunning and ultra rare Alexander McQueen well-documented embroidered net lace yellow silk mini dress dating back to his lifetime 2010 resort collection. As shown, this gorgeous dress was also Naomi Campbell's choice look while attending Nick Knight's ShowStudio Opening Party as part of London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010. There are so many photos of her with McQueen while wearing the same design that night. Alexander McQueen was known for combining superb tailoring with a dramatic aesthetic focus and this highly stylized mini dress is a perfect example of why the magic of Alexander McQueen is so missed. InStyle Magazine noted that the dress has "a bit of romance in the form of lace overlays as delicate as insect wings" and that the collection was inspired by the notion of an artist in his studio. Vogue stated that the collection "centered around patterns like line drawings", one may say tattoos. The intricate embroidered overlay on this dress would have been done specifically for each individual garment and you can see how the pattern perfectly meets at all seams. Each dress is a one-of-a-kind creation with no two being the exact same. He designed the garment to hug the body, creating shape while letting the textile shine. The hand embroidered black overlay is done on a delicate sheer netting. This lies over a sensational yellow silk underneath and the end result in magnificent. The netted embroidery covers the dress from shoulder to hem so that you get the impact of the design from every angle. It gives the dress the appearance of being tattooed in an epic insect style that only McQueen could envision. We added many pictures so you can appreciate this archival museum quality treasure.
