Gorgeous Alexander McQueen for Givenchy sculpted red leather gown dating back to his fall/winter 1998 documented runway collection. Shown in Paris, the collection really was a masterful portrayal of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner. McQueen pulled upon the dramatic 1940's film noir silhouettes of the 1982 sci-fi character Rachael, originally designed and created by costume designers Michael Kaplan and Charles Knode. This highly stylized yet effortless gown is a perfect example of why the magical of Alexander McQueen is so missed. Made entirely of butter-soft red leather; it has a seductive vibe and takes the concept of a gown to new levels. I love the low-cut plunging bodice which is balanced out with tailored cap-sleeves. This figure flattering garment accentuates the bust and skims the hip with gorgeous back-slit hourglass shape. A wearable museum quality rarity.
