We are so thrilled to offer this extraordinarily beautiful and exceptionally rare French sequin sheer-net tabard flapper dance dress dating back to the mid 1920's. Iridescent glossy ivory sequins are mixed with metallic gold sequins in the most stunning art deco pattern. The impressive, complex graphic deco motif that runs throughout the dress is true wearable art at its finest. When the sequins hit the light it creates such dazzling sparkle! The sides are intentionally cut open with just one closure at the hip and this design choice looks sensational when you move. This ethereal piece can be paired with a silk slip, tap pants or just panties for a scandalous vibe. The work is entirely hand-applied and must have taken weeks to complete. Totally looks like a dress that inspired John Galliano when he was at Christian Dior. This masterpiece would make a beautiful bridal look or red carpet moment.

This antique 1920's French tabard dress is in beautiful wearable with some flaws to note. There are a few faint spots to the inner sheer net-tulle which are almost impossible to see when worn. There is some sequin loss which is hard to notice since the entire garment is adorned and we found two small breaks to the net-tulle. Please e-mail for detailed pictures. The garment slips over the head with no additional closures. The level of work in this piece would only be found in the highest couture of today. A rare slice of fashion history.
