An incredibly chic and highly coveted Chanel pastel floral print silk and sheer dotted net mini dress dating back to Karl Lagerfeld's 2013 cruise collection. This ultra rare dress was look number 44, modeled by the beautiful Monika Sawicka. Not only is this well documented piece an important archival find, it also embodies such beautiful artistry. Vogue stated about the collection, "Lagerfeld has proved himself a master of this high-low hybrid in recent times. Here, formal eighteenth-century details, like panniers and fichus, were re-created in casual twenty-first-century fabrics—chambray, tech denims, even plastics—dressed up with frothy lace ruffles and cuffs, and dressed down with gold platform trainers and short shorts. Occasionally awkward though it may have been, the lightness, the girlishness, of the clothes had a balletic quality, reflective perhaps of Louis' own love of dance. Lagerfeld said he wanted something floating and frivolous." The fabrics used to create this ethereal showstopper are glorious; the prettiest pastel floral semi-sheer silk chiffon and soft dotted net-tulle.  I love the alluring raw-edged technique along the bottom of the piece. The sculpted high-low tiered skirting gives the garment such amazing movement. I especially love the strapless bow-trimmed ruched bodice with logo zipper going up the back. An unforgettable Chanel that would make an epic bridal reception or wedding guest look.
