  • 1920's Jean Patou Haute Couture Attributed Beaded Floral Silk Deco Dress

Absolutely gorgeous and extremely rare hand beaded Jean Patou haute couture attributed dress dating back to the mid-1920's. Undiminished by time, this black silk beauty looks as though she just walked off of a Paris fashion runway. The high quality mid-weight black silk is embellished all over with glass-bead in the hues of pink and green. The faceted cut creates a dazzling sparkle! The work is entirely hand applied and must have taken weeks to complete. The effortless shape really allows one to appreciate the large scale rose motif. The intricate scalloped hemline really sets this garment apart from other deco dresses of the time. We needed to add many detail pictures so one can appreciate the masterful achievement. The mark of a truly fashionable garment is that it remains stylish and timeless 100 years later, as does this dramatic couture treasure. The pictures say it all.

    Measurements
    Bust: 40 inches
    Waist: Free
    Hips: 42 inches
    Dress Length: 44 inches

This 1920's beaded dress is in excellent wearable condition with no stains, rips or holes. The garment slips over the head with no closures. The level of work in this piece would only be found in the highest couture of today. Though the label no longer remains, from research and documented dress we believe our garment was designed by Jean Patou around 1925-26. Example pictures also shown. There are a lot of lovely 1920's garments still around, but every once in a while I come across one that sets my heart a flutter. This is definitely one of them.
