The breathtaking rich red and maroon watercolor deco floral print used on this late 1930's silk gown has a striking allure that I find irresistible. The elegant bodice has a low plunge front trimmed with stunning maroon silk taffeta. This same silk taffeta creates a fantastic oversized sash waist with flows into a glamourous trained backside. I adore the dramatic three-dimensional bouquet appliqué which really brings this dress to a new level. The piece work to create the zig-zag patterned skirting is extraordinary as well! There is wonderful gathered depth with the yards and yards of fabric used without the skirt feeling too full. It is amazing that a gown from this era can read so fresh and modern. We added many pictures so you could understand this masterful achievement. Extremely romantic and rare!
