  • 1950's Jeanne Lafaurie Couture Watercolor Floral Silk Strapless Gown

    ID: 0622201
    Size: small
    Condition: VGood

Breathtaking Jeanne Lafaurie Couture watercolor garden two-piece gown ensemble dating back to the mid-1950's era of fashion. Jeanne Lafaurie was a Paris couturier, designing from 1925 until 1958, whose house was known for spectacular fabrics and fine draping. Andre Courreges even worked there as a draftsman in 1947 before opening his own atelier! Michel Goma became the house designer from 1950-58, when he bought the house and renamed it. I adore the watercolor floral print silk-satin which in itself is wearable art. The bodice is a seductive sculpted strapless with boning. The matching nipped-waist, long, slightly-pleated ballroom skirt finishes this masterpiece off with the perfect ethereal vibe.

    Measurements
    Bodice Bust: 32-33 inches
    Waist: 25 inches
    Total Length: 11 inches
    Matching Skirt
    Waist: 24 inches
    Hips: Free Sweep
    Total Length: 42 inches

This Jeanne Lafaurie Paris Couture ensemble is in excellent condition with no rips or holes. Perfectly working side metal-zipper. Signs of age are some holes to interior tulle corset and a faint very faint spots to the skirt, which blend into the watercolor pattern. Please message for detailed pictures. This ensemble is over 70 years old and is truly exquisite.
