1970s Koos Van Den Akker Couture Metallic Lace & Colorful Cotton Hooded Dress

A magical and incredibly rare Koos Van Den Akker couture hooded dress dating back to the mid 1970's. Koos was especially known for the incorporation of collage into his work and he always started a garment from the love of textiles together. This stunning dress typifies the movement towards clothes that was easy to wear and had a 'bohemian meets runway' feel to them. The dress is made of sparkling iridescent metallic lace and colorful large-scale floral cotton with his signature ribbon patchwork inserts. I adore the dramatic optional hood which really brings this garment to a new level. The dress slips on over the head and has two front pockets. So effortlessly beautiful!
