A highly coveted and truly breathtaking Christian Dior haute couture museum-quality chartreuse silk feathered glamour gown dating back to spring/summer 1968. This incredible work of wearable art was custom made for the famous actress and singer María Félix. We were absolutely thrilled to find a picture of her in the dress! Maria Felix was one of the most successful figures of Latin American cinema during the 1940's and 1950's. Considered one of the most beautiful actresses of Old Hollywood, her strong personality and taste for finesse garnered her the title of diva early in her career. María Félix was a style icon and owing to her tribute, she was nominated in France and Italy as one of the world's best-dressed women in 1984. Here is a rare opportunity to own a truly exceptional, well-documented Christian Dior created for such a beloved celebrity. This ethereal gown is fashioned in a fully lined semi-sheer silk in the most magnificent chartreuse green shade. The sleeveless bodice has an elegant round neckline which effortlessly flows into a complex high-cut diagonal wrap-around slit skirt. Ostrich feathers, in the same matching hue, are carefully hand-sewn onto the silk, giving the gown so much texture and movement as they cascade down. We took many pictures so you can see how sensational this dress looks from every angle. This is such an epic piece of fashion and celebrity history that will instantly become a favorite in your collection.
