This incredible work of wearable art was custom made for the famous actress and singer María Félix. We were absolutely thrilled to find a picture of her in the dress! Maria Felix was one of the most successful figures of Latin American cinema during the 1940's and 1950's. Considered one of the most beautiful actresses of Old Hollywood, her strong personality and taste for finesse garnered her the title of diva early in her career. María Félix was a style icon and owing to her tribute, she was nominated in France and Italy as one of the world's best-dressed women in 1984. The garment closes with original back French éclair metal zipper. The inside is immaculate and all hand-finished. Only sign of age are a few very faint marks to the front bodice.
