This incredibly special and ultra seductive Christian Dior burgundy red stretch-knit hourglass maxi slip dress dates back to John Galliano's spring/summer 2003 collection. During his tenure at the house of Dior, John Galliano transformed the brand with his signature blend of historical romanticism and high-fashion theatricality. Revered for his fearless approach to construction and narrative design, Galliano’s Dior era is now considered one of the most influential and collectible periods in modern fashion history. We were thrilled to learn that this slip dress is a rare French prototype for this collection. Crafted from a luxurious burgundy silk-blend knit with a flattering, figure-skimming stretch, the color is both moody and vibrant, shifting subtly between deep rose and wine tones depending on the light. The silhouette is long and lean, with delicate spaghetti straps and a softly scooped neckline that frames the bust with effortless sensuality. The most alluring feature is the incredible multicolor string work—a unique Galliano touch that elevates this from a simple slip dress to a technical masterpiece.
