This epic set was runway look 39 modeled by the stunning Trish Goff. He revisited the design throughout every stage of the rest of his career but this is the original. Tom Ford resurrected the Italian house a year prior with immediate recognition but became even more popular when Gwyneth Paltrow wore this velvet suit to the MTV Video Music Awards. Vogue described the collection as the “fashion equivalent of a one-night stand at Studio 54.” The ruby-red fully lined velvet is unbelievably sumptuous, trimmed with satin and matching covered buttons.
