An exceptional Valentino black silk chiffon and lace tiered gown dating back to his magnificent 2007 fall/winter collection. This ultra rare documented dress was runway look number 62, modeled by Caroline Trentini. For over fifty years, Valentino has been one of the most prominent names in fashion, creating some of the world's most elegant and classic designs. Well-known clients include Princess Margaret of England, Audrey Hepburn, Jacqueline Kennedy, Julia Roberts and Claudia Schiffer. It was Valentino's desire to design clothes that would celebrate the female form and accentuate a woman's sensuality. The fabrics used for this glamorous black gown are of the highest quality: a stunning French chantilly lace and sheer 'light as a feather' silk chiffon. The bodice features thin slip straps that flow into an alluring low-cut scoop neck. I love the sheer nude illusion which adds a soft feminine touch. The flattering waistline nips in with a side bow; completely covered with sparkling micro-crystals. This same intricate, shimmering design is repeated in bands on the skirt with additional dramatic tiered ruffles cascading down. Such sensational movement with every turn! A timeless archival Valentino that is perfect for any wedding or red carpet affair.
