  • 2008 Versace Runway Bubblegum Pink Pleated Silk Goddess Gown

    ID: 0823252
    Size: small
    Condition: excellent

An absolutely gorgeous and ultra chic bubblegum pink pleated silk chiffon gown dating back to Versace’s 2008 spring/summer collection. Donatella Versace is a living legend; her visionary execution helped the fashion house soar to new heights after she inherited it from her brilliant brother Gianni. For this show, the designer dressed her models in flowing fabrics that called to mind the robes of Greek goddesses. This gown in particular was runway look 52, appearing on the stunning Kasia Struss. Vogue remarked on the collection, “If there’s one thing Versace has discovered in herself in the last couple of years, it’s that she can make glamour radiate from restraint.” This dream dress is a perfect example of her artful approach. The gown’s eye-catching hue will make you stand out in a crowd, while its lightweight semi-sheer silk layers will lend you an ethereal aura. The right shoulder strap swoops gracefully downward, giving the impression of an off-the-shoulder look at first glance. A slender left shoulder flows into a dramatic heavily-pleated bodice. The flattering column silhouette met by the empire waist gives a tall and statuesque appearance. There is even an interior bustier for perfect fit. I love the draped back-sash that cascades down the dress. For a picturesque moment you could hold the long sash out or drape around the neck for an entirely different vibe. The skirt’s multiple layers and flouncy hem add an enchanting sense of movement. This archival runway Versace would make an epic red carpet or wedding guest look. A truly special head-turning goddess gown!

Only sign of wear is a few pulls to the silk which get lost in the folds. Please message for detailed pictures. A beautiful piece of fashion history with wonderful runway documentation.
