An absolutely breathtaking and super seductive Bob Mackie fully-beaded silk floral motif strapless hourglass gown dating back to the early 1990's. Bob Mackie began his career as a Hollywood costuming sketch artist, working for both Edith Head and Jean Louis. While working with designer Ray Aghayan, Mackie soon began creating evening clothing for the divas who would make him a household name- most notably Carol Burnett, Raquel Welch, Diana Ross and Cher. These Bob Mackie gowns are rare, as they were not mass produced and were incredibly expensive at the time. This intricate showstopper is a perfect example of his genius.It is fashioned in the highest quality silk, full of bugle beads, sparkling sequins and stunning appliqués on the top edge. I love the low plunge sculpted sweetheart that has full built-in corset boning to help keep everything in place. I love the flattering nipped waist hourglass high-slit silhouette which has such fantastic movement. I totally see this look walking down the red carpet or at the most glamorous affair. Perfectly working back center zipper which is cleverly worked into the design. Highly wearable and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
