An ultra rare and totally breathtaking John Galliano ivory white bias-cut floor length gown dating back to his epic 1994 fall/winter 'São Schlumberger' collection. John Galliano presented this career-making collection that fused the East and West of Japanese kimonos and glamorous 1940's-style tailoring. This is one of the most impactful, celebrated, and influential collections ever shown. As you can see, his own label mirrored his work at Christian Dior years later. These early documented examples of his work are very collectable and are becoming incredibly hard to find. The fabric itself is sensational; an ultra flattering mid-weight stretch viscose rayon that hugs the body perfectly. It's also in the prettiest ivory white color. I absolutely love the low plunge thin-strap slip bodice with draped front overlay. You can wear it on the shoulders or let it playfully fall down the arm. The sculpted star shaped bias-cut panel skirting skims the hips while creating a stunning hourglass shape. An unforgettable, well-documented John Galliano look for any important gala, wedding or red carpet event.

The success of the collection resulted in his later jobs at Givenchy and Christian Dior where his designs no doubt shaped the entire luxury fashion industry for over a decade. A wonderful investment piece that will only increase in value.
