An enchanting and extremely rare 1930's lilac purple appliqué sheer net-tulle gown from the 'Old Hollywood' era of glamour. This bias-cut dress has serious allure with the transparent nature of the fabric choice. I'm so madly in love with this color too. The bodice has gorgeous sculpted puff sleeves and a chic halter style closure in back. This sparking deco back closure is by far one of the most ornate ones I have ever seen! It works so well with the matching rhinestone dress clips on both sides of the halter strap. I adore the large scale silk appliqué bows which definitely remind me of Jeanne Lanvin haute couture. The piece work to create this skirting in particular is extraordinary. We added many pictures so you could understand this masterful achievement. It is amazing that a gown with this amount of detail and presence can literally feel almost weightless but it does. So romantic and rare.

This elegant 1930's lilac purple gown is in wearable condition with some signs of wear. Presents beautifully. Deco dress clips and embellished clasp original to the gown. After close inspection we found some wear by the underarms due to perspiration. Two prong-set rhinestones are missing from back clasp which could easily be replaced if desired. Please message for detailed pictures. A wonderful example of this era and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
