With his designs for Jacqueline Kennedy he garnered admiration and even awe, for American fashion design. This breathtaking 1950's black and pink pure-silk dress is a wonderful example of his genius. The bodice is a beautiful pleated shelf-bust sweetheart. I adore the polka-dot print which flows into an adorable back bow. The nipped waist full circle-skirt with ruffle hem silhouette is so flattering! This garment truly shows why he remains influential and predominant today.
