An amazing and highly stylized 1950's floral silk-faille dress by the famous American designer Peggy Hunt. Starting in the 1930's through the early 1960's, she was immensely successful with her specialized cocktail and evening looks. Her garments were often worn by Hollywood starlets such as Lucille Ball, Bette Davis, Lana Turner and Marlene Dietrich. This gorgeous olive-green watercolor floral number is a perfect example of her genius. The silhouette is classic "New Look" at its finest; the hourglass nipped waist flows into a playful pleated full sweep. The bodice has an ultra alluring wide portrait-collar which frames the figure beautifully. The back-bow detail adds the perfect amount of depth to the garment. You do not easily find this level of workmanship on garments today and this dress is a timeless classic for any modern event.
