Breathtaking ivory and black corded illusion floral lace party dress created by Italian designer Fernando Sarmi when he was head designer for Elizabeth Arden in the 1950's. Sarmi developed a wonderful reputation as a top designer, wooing an influential clientele that included celebrities, New York socialites and foreign dignitaries. He was best known for opulent evening looks and for his use of extravagant fabrics. This heavenly garment is a perfect example of his genius. The bodice has a flattering scoopneck plunge with gorgeous silk velvet cut-work. Handcrafted boning flow into an hourglass nipped-waist. The unique scalloped hemline full swing skirt finish this garment off with a beautiful ethereal vibe!
