A truly breathtaking and extremely rare Holly's Harp whimsical bird garden print bias-cut gown dating back to the mid 1970's. After opening a Los Angeles boutique and having her collection showcased at Henri Bendel, Holly Harp Park began manufacturing designs under her own label in 1973. Taking her inspiration from the vintage garments she collected, Holly Harp is best known for her “rich hippie” looks — romantic layered and draped designs in ethereal fabrics. This is a phenomenal garment that is everything fabulous you would expect from this era and designer. Made from a luxurious mid-weight woven brocade cotton tapestry, it has a romantic fluidity to it and also hangs perfectly on the body. I can't get over the gorgeous print! The bodice has a dramatic tie-front capelet construction which is such a nod to 1930's fashion. The bias-cut silhouette with front slit emphasizes a woman's seductive shape without adding any bulk or volume to the actual hips. Beautiful from all angles; the pictures say it all.
