A breathtaking and hard to find Jacques Cassia Couture vibrant yellow dress dating back to the late 1970's. Though his work has only recently begun to be appreciated, Lebanese designer Jacques Cassia was a familiar face among fashionable high-society back in the 1960's and 70's. His best-known work was a cross between Paco Rabanne and Halston: silk jersey maxi dresses with metal bustiers and revealing cutouts. This gorgeous gown is a wonderful example of the genius. The bodice has a complex pleated asymmetric one-shoulder with enamel detail in the same hue. I love the gold sequin waist-bow which really channels the disco vibe of this era. The draped skirting shows off a women's seductive shape while skimming the hips in such a flattering way. An iconic piece of wearable 1970's couture fashion history.
