A sensational late 1970's red sequin stretch-knit jumpsuit made by Barbara Matera for one of Liza Minnelli's dancers! This rare stage costume comes complete with signed Certificate of Authenticity from Liza Minnelli herself. The designer Barbara Matera has created costumes for more than 100 Broadway shows, including A Chorus Line, Aida, and Follies. Among the costumes made for film were The Great Gatsby (1974), The Addams Family (1991) and The Age of Innocence (1993). In 1996 her work was even the subject of an exhibition at the New York Library for the Performing Arts. From the high quality black stretch knit used to the intricate sparkling red sequins, this jumpsuit definitely lights up the room. Totally has that Halston Studio 54 vibe! I adore the dramatic center key-hole sleeveless bodice. The bell bottom style pant is so flattering and reads very current. A work of wearable art with wonderful history!
