Gorgeous and highly desirable Issey Miyake metallic gold pleated sculptural dress set dating back to his museum held 1989-90 'Mercury Pleats' Collection. As one of the world's most innovative fashion designers, Issey Miyake experimented with new fabrics and textile producing technology to create an artistic blend of Eastern and Western influences. The winner of nearly every fashion award, he is known to dislike the title "fashion designer" and prefers to be considered an artist whose medium is fabric. This stunning two-piece set is a perfect example of his genius. The fabric itself is breathtaking; reversed micro pleated polyester in a unique golden green color with metallic finish. The ultra flattering blouse has a pointy exaggerated origami tails that drape like melting gold. The matching high waisted skirt skims the hips and flows effortless when you walk. The silhouette is incredibly cutting-edge. A structural masterpiece, this sophisticated ensemble will draw attention whatever the event, and most definitely is, as Miyake once said of his designs, a tool for the “wearer's creativity.” Museum quality!
