For this collection aptly titled Miss S&M, Gianni transformed the language of fetishwear into high fashion through leather harnesses, straps, buckles and body-baring cutouts. As Vogue later recalled, “Getting strapped required eight hands,” noting that these high-maintenance looks were made for the red carpet, “where they absolutely dominated.”

Presented as Look 38 and worn by supermodel Stephanie Seymour, this epic dress follows the body in a fitted hourglass shape, hugging the waist and hips before ending just above the knee. Fashioned from fully-lined wool, the streamlined foundation places all the attention on its incredible detailing.
