An iconic and highly coveted Thierry Mugler couture metallic silver blue silk brocade three-piece jacket, corset bustier and mini skirt ensemble dating back to his 1992 fall/winter collection. I love how this rare set totally resembles the 'Angel' perfume bottle he introduced the same year! A legendary French fashion designer, Mugler is known for bold fashion and edgy, sometimes even campy, theatricality. Though he stopped designing his couture and ready-to-wear lines in 2003 to focus on photography and costume design, his work has a lasting legacy. This ultra chic three-piece metallic set is a perfect example of his genius. The sculpted snap-button jacket has the most gorgeous futuristic construction. The cuffs flare out into a stunning circular design which is also mirrored around the jacket hemline. The end result is breathtaking. I especially adore the strapless fully-boned metallic silver bustier which is a statement piece in it's own right. You can totally wear this separate with jeans or trousers for a different look. The draped sweetheart and corset lace-up style are such lovely details. The hourglass mini skirt finishes this look off with quintessential 1990's flair.
