Iconic Bob Mackie hourglass show-stopper dating back to 1990 when he created a collection dedicated to the Napa Valley region. We sold the same beaded novelty design in gold which was also used for Sharon Stone's famous look in the film "Casino". Mackie began his career as a Hollywood costuming sketch artist, working for both Edith Head and Jean Louis. While working with designer Ray Aghayan, Mackie soon began creating evening clothing for the divas who would make him a household name- most notably Carol Burnett, Diana Ross and Cher. This breathtaking ivory grapevines novelty beaded gown is a perfect example of his genius. The incredible fabric is a double-layered ivory silk mesh which molds to your bodice. You can wear any style slip under or be daring and wear nothing. The crafted sequin work is designed to hide what others shouldn't see. The bodice has a chic high-neck and lean, long sleeves. The alluring nipped waist wiggle construction with front slit finishes this garment off with the perfect femme fatale vibe. I totally see this gliding down the red carpet.
