Chanel is known to be one of the most luxurious fashion houses in the world. This highly coveted and instantly recognizable Look #19 midnight blue bouclé wool cropped logo-button jacket, dating back to Karl Lagerfeld's 1993 spring-summer runway collection, is a perfect example of why this couture brand has stood the test of time. Though prolific designer Karl Lagerfeld sadly passed away in 2019, he left behind such an impressive legacy. From his start in fashion as Pierre Balmain's assistant back in 1955, to the astounding impact he made after taking over Chanel in 1983, Lagerfeld's varied career has encompassed so many highlights.
Not only is this documented runway look a rare collectable treasure, but it's also such a chic vibe. The fabric is glorious; decadent fully-lined bouclé wool in the prettiest midnight blue color. I adore the elegant side pockets and low-cut front plunge. There are two original bold gold CC logo buttons running down the front and three at the end of each lean, long sleeve. Jacket is weighted with traditional Chanel chain lining the hemline. On the runway supermodel Yasmeen Ghauri modeled this jacket with low-rise trousers but it would look just as amazing with a mini skirt or jeans. This 1993 Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld jacket in beautiful condition with no stains, holes or alternations. Original logo buttons in place. Appears to have been worn very little if at all. Only sign of age is a few pulls which are not noticeable when worn. This documented runway look is truly exquisite and an investment piece that will only increase in value.
