A totally whimsical and ultra rare Christian Dior by John Galliano ‘playing cards and dominos' motif silk slip blouse with matching skirt. John Galliano is widely considered one of the most innovative and influential fashion designers of the early twenty-first century. He mingled his references in often surprising juxtapositions to create extravagant yet intricately engineered and meticulously tailored clothes. This magnificent two piece set, dating back to his epic 2001 spring-summer collection, is a wonderful example of his playfulness. As shown, the same print was worn by supermodel Karolina Kurkova in look 20.The cropped silk satin camisole has thin duel slip straps and an alluring v-neckline with a hidden side seam that ensures a perfectly tailored fit. The matching skirt is fully lined in a gorgeous crepe silk. The attached velvet ribbon detail that ties into a bow at the front is such a flirty touch. The skirt skims the hips and flows perfectly landing just above the knees. I'm so obsessed with the black and cream playingcards and dominos motif. Talk about the perfect ensemble for a party weekend in Las Vegas! With this archival Dior set you have one complete outfit or two amazing separates.
