An Alexander McQueen show-stopper from his iconic Supercalifragilstic Autumn/Winter 2002 collection. He proved to Paris that his design could stand on its own dramatically erotic strengths. Milkmaid necklines far from innocent were pushed up by corset bodices that curved down into the tightest pencil skirts, and finished off with thigh-high leather boots. His vixenish women had tiny-waist silhouettes done with amazing attention to cut and detail. The fabrics used are true perfection; metallic cooper silk underlay with semi-sheer black chiffon and high quality distressed lace. I love the ruched shelf-bust corset bodice with slight flutter cap-sleeves. The lace-up detailing is so fresh and seductive. The hourglass fishtail skirting finishes this gown off effortlessly. McQueen could do opulent and dramatic like no other, but he could also do restrained right alongside it. A rare slice of fashion history in one incredibly gorgeous garment. Best part of all, this dress has never been worn and comes with original tags.
