A highly coveted and totally ethereal John Galliano ivory satin back crepe bias-cut gown from John Galliano's celebrated 2004 spring-summer collection. As shown, the same dress was worn by Kim Kardashian for the 'Time 100’ gala held in New York. John Galliano is widely considered one of the most innovative and influential fashion designers of the early twenty-first century. He mingled his references in often surprising juxtapositions to create extravagant yet intricately engineered and meticulously tailored clothes. This showstopper really is a perfect example of his genius. The front bodice has a low-cut scoop with the chicest crystal buckle trimmed thin slip straps. I love the sensual bias cut skirting that emphasizes a woman's seductive shape without adding any bulk or volume to the actual hips. Such a nod to 1930's design. The sweeping train in particular is a study in dress making. A rare, archival piece of John Galliano fashion history.
