An effortlessly elegant and highly coveted Christian Dior by John Galliano leaf motif print silk bias-cut dress for his stunning 2008 spring/summer collection. This beauty was runway look number 12 modeled by the gorgeous Diana Moldovan. For this season, Galliano blended the carefree flowy glamour of the 20's with the structured and sophisticated looks of the 40's. The end result was magnificent. This dress is fashioned in a luxurious silk chiffon fabric in hues of cream and brown with subtle sparkling metallic bronze lines throughout the leaf motif. Sparkling clusters of silver and gold sequins are used within the pattern as well, adding even more allure. The cowl neckline drapes down ever so slightly, emphasizing the bodice with a custom one-of-a-kind flower appliqué on the shoulder. The striking ivory flower is made out of a cotton blend structured with wiring throughout, adding sequins and rhinestones to construct the filaments and anthers on the inside. It graces the prettiest flutter sleeve design. The bias-cut style mixed with a slight stretch in the material makes it easy to hug your curves in all the right places. Chic godet pleating at the bottom hemline adds fantastic movement as well. This well-documented, archival runway Galliano for Christian Dior dress is a true piece of wearable art.
