An incredibly chic and highly coveted Chanel black and green beaded fringe sleeve double breasted jacket dating back to Karl Lagerfeld's epic 2011 fall-winter runway collection. This ultra rare jacket was look number 23; modeled by the beautiful Renee Germaine van Seggern. It was also photographed on Crystal Renn by Giampaolo Sgura for Vogue Japan. Not only is this well-documented blazer an important archival find, it's also a rare runway sample with original never worn $13,780 price tag still attached. Vogue stated, "Aside from the mesmerizing scenario, the collection's genius lay in Lagerfeld's supernatural prescience about the way a lot of young women want to dress now, mixing the street with enough high fashion fantasy to make the result seem rich and strange. The proof? After the show, Karl's coterie of bright young things—Lily and Leigh and Jen and Poppy and all the others—couldn't wait to surrender to his dark vision."
The fabric used to create this showstopper is glorious; the finest mid-weight flecked black wool with an opulent contrasting ivory wool interior trim. The jacket has an alluring optional high nehru collar and a fantastic double breasted back-belt design. Those bold silver CC logo buttons are so stunning we had to take close-up pictures. The intricate sleeves have incredible fringe work in different shades of green mixes with beautiful green beads. The same embellishment is repeated on all four front pockets and the end result is breathtaking. This is one of those statement pieces that pairs amazing with jeans or totally works for the dressiest of occasions. A truly iconic, instantly recognizable archival Chanel that will become a forever favorite.
