A breathtaking and well-documented Givenchy haute couture green gown dating back to his 1989-90 fall/winter runway collection. Givenchy, the name itself evokes glamour, refined elegance, simplicity and style. Givenchy's trademark of sculpted lines and luxurious fabrics make his work easily recognizable. This gorgeous gown really is a beautiful museum quality example of his brilliance. The fabric itself is a masterpiece; liquid silk-satin of the highest quality in the prettiest rich kelly-green color. I adore the seductive plunging low cut bodice with structured shoulders and luxurious billow-sleeves. Sparkling multi-color crystal wrist buttons create the perfect amount of drama to this timeless showstopper. The hourglass nipped-waist with draped "peek a boo" fringe skirting finishes this garment off with a perfect nod to 1940's femme fatale design. It is an exquisite piece of wearable runway art from one of the most important houses of the modern era. The pictures say it all!
